The department is made up of more than just drama majors. Our "family"
is made up of English, Art, Philospohy, Education, Theology, Economics, Classics,
History, Politics, Psychology, Modern Language, and, Yes, even a few science
majors. It is this broad scope of backgrounds that makes Theater so important
to the world at large! Anyone can be involved!

Tristan Decker, Visiting Instructor of Drama and Technical Director of the Margaret
Jonsson Theatre
Tristan is a highly active and critically acclaimed member of the freelance Dallas
Theatre community. As a DFW Theater Critic's Forum Award Winner and Leon Rabin
Award nominee, Tristan has designed lighting and or sets for Trinity Shakespeare,
River City Repertory, Texas Christian University, Texas Woman's University, Dallas
Theater Center, Our Endeavours Theater Collective, Theatre Three, Undermain Theatre,
Shakespeare Dallas, Classical Acting Company, Ewert & Co., Young Audiences,
Kitchen Dog Theater Company, Martice Enterprises, Cara Mia Theater Company. He
possesses a BA in Drama from UD and an MA in Drama from Texas Woman’s University.

Kyle Lemieux, Assistant Professor and Chair of Drama
Selected Theatre credits: New York; C-R-E-P-U-S-C-U-L-E which became the Tony Award
winning The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Chicago; Goodman, Court and
Chicago Shakespeare, Regional; La Jolla Playhouse, International; Trinidad Theatre
Workshop. Has worked with; Robert Falls, Les Waters, Michael Greif, Derek Walcott,
Charles Newell, Barbara Gaines, Kyle Donnelly, Mark Wing-Davey, Sarah Ruhl, Richard
Nelson and Athol Fugard. BA: University of Dallas, MFA: University of California,
San Diego. This year Mr. Lemieux will direct The Tragedy of King Richard III
by William Shakespeare in the Fall and the Non-East Coast American Premiere of
a new translation by Nicholas Rudall of Euripides' Trojan Women in the Spring.
Susan Cox, Associate Professor of Theatre & Design
Susan A. Cox has worked as a costume designer, a professor, a draper and a technical
artist specializing in body puppets and costume crafts. She has worked with organizations
as varied as Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus, New York City Opera,
The University of New Mexico, Jim Henson's Creature Shop (both in Los Angeles
and New York), Irene Corey Design Associates, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and
theatre companies and costume shops from Broadway to the Napa Valley. Her work
is represented in film, television and theater. She continues to work professionally
and has recently completed work on Spike Jonz's production (Warner Bros.) of
Where the Wild Things Are based on the illustrated book by Maurice Sendak. Ms.
Cox is also a graphics designer and contributed to the documentary inserts featured
in several DVD releases including Astaire And Rogers Ultimate Collector's Edition,
Rebel Without a Cause and The Wizard of Oz Collector's Edition. Ms. Cox has a
BA from Trinity University and an MFA from Southern Methodist University.

Stefan Novinski, Assistant Professor of Drama
Stefan is a freelance director based in Los Angeles. Recent credits: A Little Night
Music starring Stephanie Zimbalist, Mark Jacoby and Terri Ralston at South Coast
Repertory; Nighthawks for Center Theatre Group at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, J.O.B.
the Hip-Hopera in Los Angeles and at the New York Musical Theatre Festival (LA
Weekly and LA Drama Critics Circle nominations for Best Direction and Best Musical),
The Map Maker’s Sorrow (Summer Play Festival, NYC); Wreckage by Caridad Svitch
for New Dramatists, Medea for the Theatre @ Boston Court; Around The World in
80 Days adapted by Mark Brown at The Colony Theatre; Sideways Stories at South
Coast Repertory; Skin of Our Teeth at the Evidence Room (LA Weekly Award, Best
Revival 2003) and at the Open Fist Theatre Company: The Time of Your Life; Cosmonaut's
